H&R Pro Group of Companies Inc. is the unified evolution of two highly respected exterior envelope firms;   H&R Exteriors and Custom Pro Exteriors, brought together through shared values, a commitment to quality, and strategic leadership.

H&R Exteriors was established by Rick Hood and Hans Pederson, both bringing decades of hands-on experience and a commitment to delivering high-quality cladding solutions across Vancouver Island. Under Rick’s continued leadership and direction, the company grew steadily — earning a reputation for dependable service, skilled craftsmanship, and long-standing client relationships.

Following Hans Pederson’s retirement, Rick Hood brought on Mitch Laporte as a partner, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the company. Together, Rick’s well-established reputation in the cladding industry and Mitch’s extensive background in construction management, brought added operational strength and fresh perspective, helping to expand the company’s capabilities, market reach, and leadership capacity.

In 2018, H&R Exteriors acquired Custom Pro Exteriors originally founded and operated by Rezin Craycroft, a respected and established cladding contractor with a strong presence on Vancouver Island. This strategic move not only broadened the company’s service offering but also strengthened its management team. With the acquisition, Jeremy Fernhout joined the partnership as Operations Manager, bringing deep field experience, team leadership, and an operations-focused mindset to the growing organization.

To reflect the combined strength, experience, and streamlined operations of both legacy companies, H&R Pro Group of Companies Inc. was formed. This new identity captures a unified vision while preserving the history, relationships, and reputation built over decades.
